Positive Coaching Alliance
Piedmont Soccer is deeply committed to a culture of positive coaching, an environment where children can physically and emotionally thrive while learning to play the beautiful game.
Our club is a place where:
- Players Play
- Coaches Coach
- Parents Cheer
- Referees are Human
All Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to have attended a PCA workshop as a condition of participation in our program. Coaches must sign a Coaches Job Description or Coach Agreement each year.
Parents are required to attend a PCA workshop in their child’s first year of soccer. All parents are required to sign a Parent Agreement each year.
Our club works with the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) to provide live, research-based training workshops and practical tools for coaches and parents to get them on the same page about what it means to Honor the Game. This education supports the adults — coaches & parents — who shape the youth sports experience.
We want a culture where kids love to play the beautiful game. They look forward to practices and games as times when they have fun and learn. The joy they find in playing will last a lifetime.
