Recreational FAQs

    • Can My Child Join PSC If I Don’t Live In Piedmont?
Yes. Piedmont Soccer Club welcomes players from Oakland and other neighboring cities, and currently has about 40% of its players who live outside of the city.
    • Refund Policy

Updated as of January 2017. This policy supersedes all other refund policy references or statements published.

      Recreation Program
Refunds of registration fees less a $70 cancellation fee are available until July 31st. After July 31st, fees are not refundable and not transferable, except for season-ending medical or family moves, as outlined below. PSC will also grant a refund if we are unable to place the player on any age-appropriate team.Refunds for reasons such as friend or coach requests or carpooling accommodations will not be made.

      Medical and Relocation Refund Requests
In the event that a player is injured during the season and cannot play or practice for the remainder of the season, the PSC Board may consider providing a partial refund. Families must submit a written request with a physician note to the PSC Registrar.

In the event that a family relocates out of the area during the season the Board may consider a partial refund on a case-by-case basis. Families must submit a written request to the PSC Registrar.

Please note that refundable amounts are time-sensitive as costs accrue to the Club for services provided to the team based on player headcount each month. Consequently, the refundable amount will be affected by the date you request the refund, not the date of the event.

For Rec teams, coaches will strive for equal playing time.
    • Coaching

Coaches for PSC Recreational teams are all volunteers.

      • PSC often has a shortage of coaches and works hard each year to provide enough coaches to support all of the players who want to join a team.
      • Any interested parent is encouraged to become a coach as it’s an important role and a rewarding opportunity. Please contact the Recreational Coordinator to learn more:
