Speed, Agility and Quickness (SAQ)
Overview
With rave reviews from players, coaches and parents alike regarding the benefits of SAQ training and conditioning in enhancing overall soccer performance on the field, all players are encouraged to engage in this fun and exciting program.

What is SAQ training, and how is it beneficial in soccer?
U8-U11
For the younger players in the ‘early development phase’ the objective of the sessions will be to improve the following:
- Psycho-motor skills
- Coordination
- Endurance
- Involuntary muscle movement
- Flexibility
- Balance and stability
- Acceleration
- Timing
U12-U19
For players who are entering or are already part of ‘the competition phase’ the sessions will aim to develop soccer specific fitness in the following areas through use of SAQ training, circuit training, interval training, plyometrics, body-weight exercises and strength training:

- Balance and stability
