Licenses and Requirements
All of our Volunteer Coaches must now take the US Soccer Introduction To Grassroots Coaching Course.
Introduction to Grassroots Coaching Course

(this is a FREE online course, which takes around 30 minutes to complete)
In addition to the Introduction To Grassroots, we require all coaches to take one of the following online modules (ideally, the module for the age group in which you are coaching for this season)…
U6 – U8: 4v4 Module
U9 – U10: 7v7 Module
U11 – U12: 9v9 Module
U13 – U19: 11v11 Module

The above grassroots modules can be taken online or in person and coaches can take a new one each year, as their team ages up.
Piedmont Soccer Club will reimburse Volunteer Coaches on the completion of the above online modules, ($25 per online grassroots module).

The USSF E and USSF F Licenses are still valid to those who have them, but we would still encourage all coaches to take the above courses:
Our Director of Coaching, Dan Chubbock, is licensed to teach the Grassroots Modules. Please send a note to our Coach Coordinator if you would like to attend a Piedmont hosted Grassroots course and we will follow up with a proposed day and time.
All coaches (professional and volunteer) are strongly encouraged to participate in some form of continued coach education each year, so that we can all continue to develop alongside our players.

24-7 UK Soccer Academy Resources
As part of our partnership with 24-7, all of our coaches (professional and volunteer) can obtain login information to the 24-7 UK Soccer Academy online curriculum, which has activities, session plans and complete curriculum’s to take you through your season for the age group that you are working with. Please contact you AGC or email coachcoordinator@piedmontsoccer.org for access to these resources.
