Players and Parents,
As a follow up to our recent email to the club, we want to let you know that we continue to monitor the situation, with regards to COVID-19.
As stated previously, for the safety of all our members, we will have no practice or games until March 31. We will look to re-evaluate after that time. During this period, we be sending our members regular updates to keep you informed of any changes that will impact you or your child.
We continue to work with our partners in the School District and Parks & Rec to ensure that we have the most up to date information and will pass this along as necessary. As things stand all facilities where we obtain permits have closed to community user groups until at least Mar 31.
As you are likely already aware Jack London and NorCal Premier have suspended all games until April 15 and March 31 respectively. We expect further updates from our league organizers some time this week. Once we have received this information, we will inform our members of our plans for rescheduling games and of any changes to our current tryout schedule for perspective competitive players for the 2020-21 season.
AT HOME PRACTICE
Our Pro Coaches are working hard behind the scenes on training plans for our Competitive players and these will be sent to Highlander and AFC players very soon.
We have some resources ready to go for all players now and these can be accessed through the links below:
Using the printable scorecard, time yourself for each activity (30-60 seconds) and write down your score. Repeat and try to beat your score, without sacrificing technique!
In order to improve conditioning as well as technique, work through an entire scorecard in one session (45-60 seconds per activity, with 30 seconds recovery. 1-2 minute recovery between each block)
Off Season Packet
Just because we can’t train as a team on the field right now, it doesn’t mean we cannot get quality touches on the ball.
Use this ‘OFF SEASON PACKET’ to give you some ideas on how to keep developing your game.
We will continue to send regular communication to all of our members as we navigate this fast moving situation.
You can also find updates through our social media platforms and our website, where we will continue to post updates:
Thank you all for your patience and please do not hesitate to reach out to myself, our board members and/or your coaches to answer any questions that you may have.
